A small piece of Swiss history - for over 100 years
In 1890, the traditional Swiss company BALLY from Schönenwerd launched the now legendary and popular "Tigerfinkli" products, which are popular far beyond the borders of Switzerland.
As has been reported for generations, the shoes bring their wearers much joy, happiness and health.
Until 1937, the original Tigers were produced under the BALLY label and mainly distributed in Switzerland.
The tiger finches adapted relatively quickly.
Developed into a "must-have" for boys and girls. Whether for exploring the garden or keeping feet warm in the living room, the Tigers were always there.
While tiger finches were already being produced on behalf of BALLY, Edi Glogg secured the licensing rights to the product in 1938 and
This laid the foundation for the company in its current form.
Following a change of ownership, the entire machinery will be moved to a new, separate facility with over 2000m2.
Production area outsourced. Our shoes are still made here using the original methods.
To mark the 75th anniversary of the women's magazine annabelle, the first special edition is being created in collaboration with the publisher and editorial team, based on a cooperation with an external partner.
While our products were long only available in the Swiss market, we are delighted that following a change of ownership and a brand relaunch, the original Tigers are now gaining more and more fans internationally. Whether on the streets of Munich, London, New York, Milan, or many other cities – the original Tigers are everywhere!

Almost every Swiss person wore a pair of original Tigerli shoes at some point during their childhood and experienced one or more adventures with them. This success story continues to this day. After all, Tigerli shoes are as much a part of Switzerland as chocolate, cows, and watches.
No one really knows for sure why the shoes are named after the famous jungle animal. But one thing we do know for certain: they remain popular with young and old alike and are a unique piece of Swiss history.
We are delighted to be able to continue writing the Tiger story together with you and thank you for your trust.
Heartfelt,
Your Tiger Team
